Action Archive: Community Services on “underutilized resources”

The Los Alamos County Community Services Department (CSD) seeks input on what it describes as “underutilized” resources:

Nina Marsh Tennis Courts on 36th Street, Orange Street Playlot, Canyon Road Tennis Courts, Canyon Road Handball Court, Loma Linda Playground.

The press release and county information are pretty clear that CSD wants to alter these resources. The extremely difficult to locate surveys include an overview of the current situation and questions about what we might like to have done with the space (plus usage, etc.). It is really important for people to engage with these surveys. Every time the County seeks public comment and gets crickets, it adds to their narrative that the public doesn’t care what staff does.
